Xlink Kai: Xlink is a Program that Tunnels Console games (And Handhelds) Threw the internet by using the games Systemlink feature. This allows MOST System link games to be played with other people around the world Online without using an Online serivce like XBL (Xbox Live) There is 2 programs that are the current most used program's today. That is XBC and Xlink kai. Im going to tell you right now that XBC is where most if not ALOT of Xlink kai Modders (who mod/cheat in game) That are banned go there. Plus XBC (Xbox Connect) Is something you NEED to pay for. There is a free version but its almost stripped of the features you can do.


Now to get started like many services you need to register an account. Dont worry! its free! biggrin.gif All you need to do is fill out some general Info about your self here at this link:

When you are visting the site make sure to go to the Top of the site and select "Sign up" this is pretty self explanitory and all you need to do is fill out your info, Avatar, Games you own and console.

Once done you will need to get the actual Program!

At the Top of the Page is the "Download" tab, Go to the Drop down box and select your Version of Operating system you have. Since im discussing about windows you will need to do the same (if your running windows too)

Now select: Windows XP / 2000 / Vista

And Hit Download.


Once downloaded, You must run the Application and install it. This is again self explanitory. Once installed you will need to do the following:


Step 1: !*************Connected to a Router:*****************!

Now alot of Networks at home are connected to a router. In order to play on Xlink kai you need to configure your router's settings in order for people to join your game or for you to join theirs.

First Things First: To see what your Static IP is. This is the Address that will be used to get into your Router.

To find it you must do the following:

"START>RUN>CMD>ipconfig /all"




You will then see your "Default Gateway" as (this is mine) "192.168.1.1"

This is because my computer is behind a Router "Netgear",

You will open up a Browser (Internet explorer, Firefox) And type thoes numbers in (including their periods ".")

You will be Asked to log in;



You must remember what your Log in is! The user is "Admin" for most if not ALL routers out there. If you dont know your password or never set one, you can see a list here:http://www.routerpasswords.com/
Find your router's Make and Model for the Default password to log into it.


Now once your in your router, It will be displayed like a webpage a couple of options here and their but we will only be using one option. If you dont know what your doing DO NOT change ANY options. Only the ones I tell you!

Now locate your self to "Port Forwarding and Triggering" Now since im using a Netgear router my Display page will look diffrent to yours. You can find out on how to port forward by the following link:

www.portforward.com : Select ROUTERS and locate your self to your Models Name (They are Alphabetical) And then the Version of your router. Go to the "X" at the bottom of the page and select Xlink kai.


This is what mine will look like:



Now you will make a Port for Xlink kai, You need to have port 30,000 "start/end" and Service IP as your Computers IP address (Not your Modems IP but the IP address your Router assigns your PC mine is; 192.168.1.2 if your not sure you can always Start>run>CMD>Ipconfig /all. The Service Type is UDP/TCP.

Once you save your Router's settings all you need to do is load up Xlink Kai. And to Turn on your Game console. Now Make sure you have your Game Console on and a System Link game is loaded up to the Systemlink feature lobby. For a list of Systemlink able games you can always try google. Or look on the back of the game case.

Now once that is done you want to Sign into Kai and Select the "Magnifying Glass Icon"



This will show some info about Xlink and your Network what you want to look for is that you are "reachable" Which will look like this:



Now If it is reachable you want to Make sure your Game Console is in a Systemlink Game, and that it is connected to your router!

To see if you can join games In that same Screen you will see a Folder Icon, Click on it and it will show you if your Console has been detected which will look like this:





Once you have your Xbox or game console configured you will need to Go into the Globe ICON and guide your self to a Systemlink arena, here you can either host or Play games that other users are holding

YOU CANNOT MOD IN THE ARENAS THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED THERE IS HOWEVER MODS&HACKS ARENA'S AS WELL AS TESTING ARENA'S

DONT MOD IN LEGIT GAMES! YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR GOOD!
